What started out as an orange couch, grew to a podcast and then went back to the beginning to be re-imagined as a brand all based on that iconic orange couch. Sometimes we can’t kick an idea in our life (and for good reason!) and we just don’t know why. My initial role with The People Side was to help design a podcast site that had it’s own separate look and style from their original brand. We (really) jived, the graphics thrived, a pandemic hit and they went all in with a whole new look, orange couch a must! I thoroughly enjoyed (and still continue to!) bringing this brand to life, not only because of it’s vibrant and personable style, but because every time I completed a new design task, they came back for more. They needed real conversations, I gave them a fresh cup of coffee to sit with. They needed a virtual living room and office space, I gave them ZOOM rooms. They needed marketing tools, I gave them plants, flip charts, clocks, binders, dry erase markers, desk lamps … each with their own meaning, but all very real, engaging and approachable branded moments.

I was chosen to be the lead designer in re-branding two well-established and merging companies to re-identify themselves as bluespire marketing: marketing that inspires. I worked side-by-side with the founders and executive board members, marketing director, and editorial staff to form a select rebranding committee for the release of the new brand. With an aggressive release date set, the unveiling of the new identity, marketing initiatives, cohesive brand standards and guidelines, corporate identity pieces, and website release, a new and improved star was (re)born.
Branding can be taken in so many different ways and as a huge advocate for social media presence, I love to see client brands taking off and out into the world. K Nelson Architects is a brand I like to be on call for whenever in need and watch it grow. They definitely have my follow!
Branding yourself is an incredibly big deal and I love to be right there with you. Logo and brand identity is always exciting to me because there are so many ways to put yourself out there and not to mention the stories that come along with it! And when I find that moment for someone to say ‘Yep. That’s the one.'“ I get to be part of that exciting new journey.

Life can take you in all different directions and for me, product design was a new stop on my storytelling journey. I had the pleasure to work side-by-side with the Vice President of Product Development, Jules Rouse and Founder Brian Miller of Magnolia and Vine. The opportunity and experience opened a new world of design trends, procedures and collaboration styles for me. With it’s unique and interchangeable accessories line I had to research, concept and create designs for the VERSA Collection that could swap out from one handbag base to the next.

I enjoy using my creativity to take an event to the next level using my extensive skill set, which include invitation design, event styling, custom decor, experiential design, event coordination and above all attention to detail.

When asked What do you see as your key responsibilities in your current role? in a past employee review, I confidently wrote: “I bring the fun.”
One of my favorite things about being a creative is that it doesn’t stop. I truly do not stop. So no matter where life takes me professionally, I will always bring the fun. This is just a taste, but don’t be shy - check out my Instagram, say hi and get the full story!
